Dr Arun K. Raj has expertise in thermal energy conversion and storage, numerical and experimental heat transfer and fluid flow, and solar-thermal systems. He is also working on the MAX4LES, an MSCA-EU project.

His work is focused on Li-ion batteries and next-generation battery chemistries, primarily involving materials science and overall cell chemistry and battery behaviour. His research background is in modelling, but is today most active in experimental research, and is as such active in bridging modelling studies with experimental work.
Prof. Rafael Waters specializes in smart grid solutions with an emphasis on city integrated applications including smart charging and energy communities. He has extensive experience in co-creation with public sector stakeholders, universities in the Global South, and the UNDP.

Dr Mazaher Karimi specializes in substation automation systems and wide-area monitoring, protection, and control schemes for power systems powered by renewable energies, contributing to green electrification. His research focuses on the design, operation, and sustainability of future energy systems, particularly addressing the challenges of variable renewable energy integration, energy storage, and the biophysical limits to energy transitions.
Dr Sanna Tuomela specializes in human-computer interaction, energy system digitalization, and demand flexibility. She also coordinates the 6G-enabled sustainable society research program and the 6G flagship energy vertical.
Dr Shruti Srivastav has a decade of experience in electrochemical modelling and simulations with a focus on high-fidelity battery models and systems level modelling. She is an expert in virtual testing and cell development for the automotive batteries. She works along with various universities for the cell integration concepts and is an adjunct associate professor at Uppsala University.
